Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 11:41PM Had a great day today participating in Help-Portrait Austin. Mary Rachel spent the afternoon with me and was lucky enough to get her hair and make-up done by some of the students from the Paul Mitchell school. She loved it! Monday, September 8, 2008 at 12:09AM So...it's been a few days but I'm getting back on track. Pulled out the small softbox today to practice a little strobist lighting. As always, my daughter was at the ready.

Friday, August 8, 2008 at 11:40PM I love my 85mm lens. It is sharp, contrasty and allows for a great shallow depth of field. You can see it here where there is basically a couple inches of focus on MR's face. I was also trying out my new Photoflex Starlite - a continuous light source. It's a cool little light that I'm going to be trying to learn over the next few days. This was shot just in our living room and the blue blob you see in the background is Dominic sitting in a chair - lens was wide open at 1.8

Mary Rachel is always ready to be my go to model so within the span of 45 seconds she was ready to throw some poses down and vogue for me. The one above was my choice - the ones below are the full set.
